VNS offers several ways for you to connect with external storage solutions. The first is to use our V-Series
products with limited internal storage and connect via one of the two LAN ports. If your application has a
special connectivity need like Fiber Channel then one of our custom products equipped with a Fiber
Channel HBA (Host Bus Adaptor) can be employed. For applications using Sequential Storage
Technology, the VX Series NVRs are recommended.

The VX series of Network Video Recorders (NVRs) are small foot print, low power products optimized for
use with external storage solutions employing Sequential Storage Technology - a sequential file system in
conjunction with a Linear Array of Idle Disks (L.A.I.D.). These systems come with hot swap hard drives, 4
