ViSTA Networking Solutions Announces High Density Network Video Recorder

Sacramento, CA  April 26, 2006 - ViSTA Networking Solutions (VNS) announces the extension of it’s GT17 SurVISTM Network Video Recorder (NVR) product line with the first in a series of high storage systems intended for high performance IP video surveillance applications requiring extended storage.  The NVR is offered in a 5U rack mount footprint and can be configured to support up to 12TB of raw storage or about 350 days of single CIF full motion video.  Specifically engineered to support the video processing and storage demands of large scale camera installations and multi-mega pixel cameras, the GT17 video processing capability is scalable to 2000 FPS (at a resolution of 320 x 240 per Frame or 1 CIF/sec) of low compression MJPEG video.  Each GT17 is shipped with Microsoft XP Pro and can be made available with or without digital video surveillance management software.  SATA drives, which can be configured in RAID 0, 1, 5 or 10, make up the surveillance system archive.  The NVR uses Intel Xeon technology and supports an 800 MHz FSB.  Also included are dual gigabit Ethernet inputs, a DVD RW drive, a floppy drive and a separate OS drive.  The GT17 NVRs can be configured to support 1, 2 or 4 monitors.

With video management software pre-installed, the GT17 NVR features alarm notification, motion detection, secure time stamped and watermarked recordings, searchable archives, support for integrated synchronized audio and an easy to operate user friendly interface.

As with all VNS NVRs, every GT17 is custom built to specifications determined by each unique application.  The GT17 series of products is modular and scalable in video processing, archive capacity and chassis size.
