ViSTA Networking Solutions Launches Mid-Range Network Video Recorder Platform

Sacramento, CA  June 15, 2005 - ViSTA Networking Solutions (VNS) announces the availability of its LT16 Network Video Recorder (NVR) platform intended for mid-range IP video surveillance applications.  The LT16 platform is scalable in video processing performance, archive capacity and footprint.  All LT16 products are shipped with Microsoft XP Pro and individually can be configured with or without industry leading digital video surveillance management software.  The mid-range NVR is capable of processing up to 1000 FPS (at a resolution of 320 x 240 per Frame or 1 CIF/sec).  1000 CIF/sec allows system designers to deploy surveillance networks which can support 33 cameras streaming 30 FPS of MJPEG video at 1 CIF resolution with a single NVR.  Archive capacity is dictated by the application’s CIF/sec storage rate and can be scaled to include external storage if needed.  Based on a low compression MJPEG setting for high quality viewing, the LT16 platform has a typical storage capacity of over 15 days when recording at the 1000 CIF/sec viewing rate.  As with all VNS VNRs, every LT16 is custom built to specifications determined by each unique application.

The LT16 is one of 3 NVR platforms offered by VNS.  The GT17 is a high-end platform designed for applications requiring large scale video processing for large camera count or high resolution camera applications.  The LT08 is intended for residential and other low camera count applications.
